Challenge

GDEX's existing brand photography no longer matched the level of visual identity the new site needed, a genuine gap when the goal is to present a leading logistics brand credibly online. Beyond visuals, the site's content and navigation needed a proper information architecture rethink rather than a surface-level redesign, so visitors, whether tracking a parcel or checking a shipping rate, could actually find what they needed quickly. On the technical side, GDEX's IT team managed their own server infrastructure but weren't deeply familiar with the specifics of running and maintaining it, and needed guidance rather than a full handover.

Goal

Deliver a full UI/UX revamp of GDEX's corporate site backed by a refreshed brand photography direction, a new content navigation structure built on proper information architecture, core parcel tracking and rate calculator functionality on the homepage, and ongoing server management advisory and technical support for GDEX's internal IT team.

Solution

Sweetmag delivered this as a combined brand, UX, and functionality refresh, alongside ongoing technical support post-launch.

UI/UX Revamp with a Brand Photography Recommendation

Beyond the interface redesign itself, Sweetmag recommended a photography package to reset GDEX's brand imagery, recognising that a UI refresh alone wouldn't fully modernise the brand's visual identity if the underlying photography stayed the same. This gave the new site cohesive, current visuals to match the redesigned experience.

Content Navigation and Information Architecture

Sweetmag built a new content navigation flow grounded in proper information architecture design, restructuring how GDEX's content is organised so visitors can move through the site intuitively rather than working against a structure that had grown organically over time.

Parcel Tracking on the Homepage

Sweetmag built parcel tracking functionality directly into the homepage, putting GDEX's single most-used customer function front and centre rather than buried in a subpage.

Rate Calculators

Sweetmag developed rate calculator functionality, letting customers estimate shipping costs directly on the site rather than needing to contact GDEX or reference a separate tool.

Server Management Advisory & Technical Support

Since GDEX manages its own server infrastructure but its internal IT team wasn't deeply familiar with the specifics, Sweetmag provided ongoing server management advisory to guide their team, alongside technical support for bugs arising from the parcel tracking integration.
